For the stories that have gotten a little too big to ignore 🔥

One week from today, we’re kicking off Fire in the Belly with Amy Stokes, a brand-new After-Hours Writing Night series at The Beacon.

From August 25 through November 10, we’ll gather every other Tuesday for a relaxed evening of writing, optional prompts, and creative connection—with space to dig a little deeper and follow the stories asking to be told.

Each night, you can write from the monthly Storytellers theme, follow one of Amy’s guided prompts, or come with a story already stirring and see where it takes you. Consider it a choose-your-own-adventure writing night: dedicated time to put pen to paper, quiet the inner editor, and write alongside a creative community.

Come with a blank page. Come with something that’s been burning in you for years. Come for one. Come for them all. Just come ready to write.

Storytellers is TONIGHT at Distillery 98, and August’s theme — Take It to the Grave — is bringing us the secrets, buried truths, private loyalties, unresolved feelings, and stories we swore we’d never tell.

Tonight, we’ll hear from our Featured Storyteller Nicole Paloma, alongside a lineup of community storytellers sharing five-minute stories of their own.

This Thursday, we’re welcoming a different kind of storyteller to the stage: Nicole Paloma, our first-ever fashion designer Featured Storyteller.

A self-taught designer, artist, and the creative force behind her namesake hand-sewn label, Nicole has spent nearly two decades building a brand rooted in craftsmanship, individuality, and soul. Her work is deeply shaped by her own story—beauty born from struggle and gratitude, recovery, community, and a mission to help women feel effortlessly seen, inherently powerful, and undeniably themselves.

We can’t wait to hear the stories behind the woman—and the work.
