Annenberg Community Beach House The Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica Beach is a public beachfront site, open to all with no membership required.

Beach courts & fields, stand-up paddleboard rentals, plus a splash pad and playground are available to the public year-round. There are free cultural programs, including tours of the Marion Davies Guest House, art gallery exhibits, Audubon Society bird walks, and Beach=Culture concerts, readings, and more. Annual community events, such as the popular "Cardboard Yacht Regatta" and "Polar Bear Swim" are fun for the whole family! Our public pool is seasonal, open daily in the summer, and occasionally on holiday weekends between October and May. Private Events:
Historic Hollywood glamour meets modern Southern California style to create an event space like no other. Flexible spaces and ocean breezes provide the perfect setting for your next meeting or celebration. Spaces vary in size and accommodate groups as intimate as 10, to elaborate celebrations for 400 or more when combining indoor and outdoor spaces. The Beach House is also available for commercial film and photo shoots.

There's still time to reserve one of our beachfront canopies!

Located right on the sand, our canopies are perfect for gathering with friends, enjoying a picnic, or simply spending a few hours by the ocean. Each reservation includes two 5-foot plastic tables, so bring your beach chairs, snacks, and good company.

Don't need a reservation? Our canopies remain up outside of rental hours and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with tables provided only during reserved hours. Please note that canopies are cannot be moved.

Bounce is back for new sessions at the Beach House this November and December, now with classes on Tuesdays and Fridays! From babies beginning to explore their surroundings to toddlers ready to climb a little higher, there’s a class for every little mover.

🦀 Crawling Crabs | 6 months–1 year
• Sensory play, music, puppets, and soft obstacle courses designed for little ones who aren't walking just yet.
• Tuesdays & Fridays | 12PM–12:45PM

🐢 Turtle Tots | Walkers–2 years
• Obstacle courses, games, bubbles, parachute time, music, and plenty of opportunities to move and explore.
• Tuesdays & Fridays | 9:30AM–10:15AM

⭐ Surfing Starfish | Ages 2–3
• Climbing, jumping, balancing, and sports-inspired games that encourage growing toddlers to try new things.
• Tuesdays & Fridays | 10:30AM–11:15AM

Spectrum recently stopped by the Beach House to take a closer look at one of our most unique workouts and see what happens when you trade solid ground for a floating fitness board! The segment takes you out onto our historic pool for a glimpse at the balancing, movement, and fun that make Floating Fitness such a memorable way to work out.

Needing a way to beat the heat this week? There are still plenty of ways to cool off at the Beach House.

Our Splash Pad is open daily from 9AM–7PM, giving you plenty of time to play and enjoy the water! After that, take a break under the shady umbrellas in our Courtyard, or head down to the sand with direct beach access just steps away.

Pool season may be taking a break, but beach days are here all year long. Come hang out and cool off with us!

🎟️ Pool pass sales begin an hour prior at Guest Services. Pool passes are first come, first served, and your entire party must be present at the Guest Services window when purchasing passes.

Join us Saturday, October 3 for the opening reception of Portraits: Faces and Waves, featuring new photography by Sam Comen and Anthony Friedkin.

Comen turns his lens toward people, with portraits created during a pop-up studio on the Santa Monica Pier this summer. Friedkin turns toward the ocean, capturing waves in fleeting moments before they disappear. Together, their work explores two subjects that are never quite the same twice: faces and waves.

Come experience the exhibition for the first time, meet the artists, and enjoy light refreshments with us at the Beach House Gallery!

For the past several months, Water is a Currency has asked us to look at something so familiar in a different way: water as memory, movement, history, inheritance, and connection.

With the Pacific just steps from our Gallery, the exhibition brings together the work of seven artists reflecting on the stories we carry through water and the ways water carries those stories with us.

Now, Water is a Currency enters its final week at the Beach House.

Your Saturday morning plans could use a little more water. 👀💦

Our Floating Fitness classes are underway, and spots are filling up fast! Take your workout out of the gym and onto our historic pool for an hour of movement, ocean air, and trying your best to stay on your board.

Never tried it before? No worries! Floating Fitness is open to all levels, so you don't need to be a paddleboard pro to join the fun.

Planning a day under one of our canopies, getting a game going on the sand, or heading out on the water? Here are the updated rates to know for your next visit:

🏖️ Canopy Reservations | $65 for a 4-hour block
🏐 Beach Volleyball & Soccer Courts | $16/hour
🏄 Stand-Up Paddleboard Rentals | $49/2hrs OR $71/4hrs

New rates take effect October 14. Any October reservations made before the price increase will keep the original rate.
