Brave Gowns

Brave Gowns Brave Gowns Have Changed the Game in Hospital Wear & Patient Care! We are proudly made in the USA We couldn't do it without your support and purchases. Thank you!

Since 2015, over 850,000 Brave Gowns & have been worn by patients in Children's Hospitals worldwide. Since 2015, over 450,000 and have been worn by patients in Children's Hospitals worldwide. Brave Gowns have been featured on Fox News, NBC, ABC, CBS, Huffington Post, The Talk, The Doctors and numerous other media outlets. During the pandemic, we've put over 300,000 masks on healthcare workers, ess

ential workers, bio tech labs, police officers, firefighters, inmates and homeless shelters. We were also able to gift over $25,000 to families with a child going through medical treatment. We are and always have been made in the USA. What is a Brave Gown? A Brave Gown is a gown that a child will wear when going through a treatment that scares them, a horrible shot, a spinal tap, an MRI, an x-ray, a long hospital stay or just a moment that they need to feel BRAVE! One of the biggest reasons kids love superheroes is the sense of control and power they have on the world. For superheroes, anything is possible. We want children in the hospital fighting even the toughest disease, to put forth their best fight and conquer what battle they're fighting. Whether a child's favorite superhero is Batman, Superman or Cinderella while wearing a "Brave Gown" they will believe that can take on any illness! Children have very limited control in their daily lives and especially when going through treatment for an illness. Becoming a superhero will allow them to access some sense of power during this scary time. What inspired me to make Brave Gowns? More than 3 million children are hospitalized in the United States. Every 33 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer and that's just one reason that children are admitted to the hospital. Twelve years ago on Halloween, my family became one of those statistics. Little did we know we were about to be faced with the fight of our lives. My brother, my only sibling, was only 10 years-old. I was 15 years-old older than him. We went from an office visit directly to the fight of our lives that ended up with us spending over a year in the hospital. I wish my story had a happy ending and I can tell you that my brother lived, but he is in heaven. He fought a battle that they said was impossible, but he beat it. In the end, he went to heaven due to a medical error. My favorite memory of our journey was the following year once again on Halloween. My brother was in the PICU (Pediactric Intensive Care Unit) and couldn't go Trick or Treating. He was laying there in a dingy pale yellow hospital gown that looked like it had been washed hundreds of times. There was nothing festive about it. It did not represent his personality or the holiday that he so loved! So I painted his face like a zombie. We were laughing so hard while I was painting it. Life felt a bit "normal" during this horrible time, but then we got in so much trouble! His skin practically peeled off, but all I could see behind it was his smile! He was so happy. Around Halloween of this year, I saw a picture of my friend's daughter that is now going through treatment and she was posing in her gown with a caption that read, "Maya trying to rock her blah hospital gown before her spinal tap!" That's when the idea of Brave Gowns hit me. Hospital gowns make you feel like just a number. They do not reflect these children's personalities. They do not bring hope!

We are so happy to read that Madison’s MRI is clear. 🙌💛

Over the years, we’ve loved seeing Madison grown and in different Brave Gowns through so many scans and hospital stays. Moments like this remind us why we work so hard to put kids in Brave Gowns.

We are so blessed to be even a small part of so many big moments for families. We never take that trust lightly and are endlessly grateful for the support, kindness, and love families continue to show us through every stage of their journey.

Celebrating with your family today, Madison.📣🙌

Today we are so excited to celebrate Lola and share the many faces of Lola that has made us smile over the years. 💛

We all watched her go through treatment with so much strength, courage, and light. One thing we always knew was that if Lola wasn’t smiling, she truly didn’t feel good. Her smile became something all of us looked for because even during the hardest moments, she still found ways to bring hope to all around her.

Knowing Lola will ring the bell today, is something we all will hold close to our heart and celebrate. We know what a gift it is! While we never reached this milestone in our own journey, we know just how emotional and meaningful this moment is for families walking through childhood illness, which makes it even more special that Lola’s family chose to celebrate by helping children still in treatment.

Yesterday, watching the video of their family announcing they wanted to sponsor Brave Gowns for other kids completely overwhelmed me with gratitude. I’m so honored they included Brave Gowns in such a deeply personal moment in their lives.

Instead of only celebrating for themselves, they chose to turn this moment into hope for other children who will spend their summer in hospital rooms receiving treatment, allowing them the chance to still feel like kids, even inside a hospital room.

To make this day even more meaningful, all gowns sponsored through Lola’s campaign will be matched to help twice as many children feel brave!

Thank you, Lola, for reminding all of us what courage, kindness, and hope look like. We are so honored to celebrate this beautiful milestone with you. Here’s to getting to be a kid.🙌💖

MRI #36
6 glorious months have gone by and we are taking a look and making sure Madison’s tumor is behaving itself. With every passing month post chemotherapy, the worries actually gain speed in my mind. Saying she’s been doing well provides very little comfort honestly because the tumor is unpredictable. And unpredictable is scary in the pediatric cancer world…so please pray, send all the good vibes, and continue to lift her up so that we may continue to live quietly and with the least amount of time spent at the hospital. Summer is coming and Madison and her brother deserve to be kids. We are too busy for anything but good news. I’m serious. Good news ONLY.

Thank you Miss Jodi for taking care of Madison. Results tomorrow morning. Ugh. The waiting game is brutal.

We love you Madison Antonella. Be strong and fierce babydoll. 🩷

Gideon’s giggles were exactly what we needed to beat a case of the Mondays. His mom must be pretty funny! 😆 He is just too cute in his heavy truck Brave Gown and fun dinosaur pants. Kids still deserve to laugh, play, and feel like kids during long hospital stays.

Gideon, thank you for the reminder to give it our all this week, and to do all we can to bring smiles to children’s hospitals!🛻 🦖 🙌

After 91 days in the hospital and a heart transplant, this brave little muscleman, Carter, finally got to go home yesterday. ♥️

There truly are no words for moments like this. From long days and sleepless nights to prayers, setbacks, hope, and healing… what a journey Carter and his family have been through.🙌

We are beyond happy for Carter and his family!.
Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they begin this beautiful next chapter at home. You’ve got this, Buddy! 🫶

Sporting one of our new purchases from the good folks at Brave Gowns is young Genevieve, who recently visited the hospital and was pretty happy to have one of these to jump into instead of a boring white one!

Brave gowns are about bringing comfort and fun when patients have to get something scary done! It’s nice to have fun designs to give everyone a little vibe at a time they need it most. Rock on Genevieve!

Every Cinco de Mayo I will forever think of precious Jonah 🌮💛

He is now in heaven, but he loved food as much as Mac. There was something about the joy he found in the simple things… so pure, so full of life.

Every Cinco de Mayo, I celebrate Jonah the best way I know how… by having a taco for him. A small tradition, but one that keeps his spirit close and his.

I’m thinking of Jonah and his family today. Thank you for always sharing a little piece of him with us. Forever and always. Jonah. 🙏🏽🌮✨

From Grinch Day at school to rushing straight to a pulmonology appointment, sweet Everly was full of smiles! ♥️

She showed up festive and even dealt with a “hair adjustment” during her x-ray. 😂

Who knew there was a magic tube to carry your now? So, he got to come to Everly’s appointment too!

Now she’s at piano lessons in her Brave Gowns! She cracks us up!

Swipe to see how little Everly was when we first met her family through Brave Gowns. She was a little peanut. 🥜
