This year, the 37th District Buyer’s Coalition purchased 126 animals raised by local 4-H, FFA and Grange exhibitors at the Santa Barbara County Fair, resulting in more than 26,000 pounds of meat going to feed community members from Buellton to Cuyama to San Luis Obispo.

This week, the beef was distributed to 14 local organizations, including the Mark Richardson CTE and Allan Hancock Culinary programs, Cuyama Valley Family Resource Center, Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach, 5 Cities Homeless Coalition, Santa Barbara County Cattlewomen’s Association and the Five Cities Fire Authority.
