Meet one of our dancers, Nestor! Joining us since we started 5 years ago, his favorite region is Michoacan; a beautiful region and where he's from. His favorite memory was when we got a standing ovation for our very first MATC.

He stayed at Imperial, for the love of dance, for the new friends that he made that became family, and also because we get to learn new regions for every show and with brand new costumes, thanks to our director Luis. "Somos Imperial 💚"

He hopes to perform Tamaulipas Huasteca someday.

Meet one of our dancers, Victoria! Joining us since we started 5 years ago, her favorite region is Sonora or Veracruz because it's high energy and because she loves technical footwork. She has many memories where she's had so much fun dancing, learning new regions and dances, making new friends and continuing past friendships. 

She's stayed at Imperial because dance has been a part of her life since she was 5 years old, and it’s kind of hard to stop once you’ve gotten started! Even though she started with folklorico later in my life it’s become a huge part of her life. Her dad always wanted me to do folklorico and tap into my Mexican heritage and sadly he didn’t get to see her perform, part of her does it in memory of him also. 

Victoria would love to see Imperial do Barrio del Roble from the state of Nuevo León or Sones de Tarima from the state of Guerrero.
