His high-profile presence in the United States where he directs, teaches, choreographs and performs for more then a decade, nominated him for various recognition archives such as San Francisco’s Isadora Duncan Award, Santa Fe’s Mayor’s Aw
ard for Excellence in the Arts. His troupe and choreographies have graced stages around the globe in venues such as. Joyce Theater New York City 2016, Jacob’s Pillow Festival Massachusetts 2016, Palace of the Fine Arts San Francisco 2010, Royal Daphna Hall Doha Qatar 2008. Broadcast performances include NBC, Telemundo and Al Jazeera. Born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany of mixed heritage (Spanish mother, Italian father), Juan was immersed early in the culture of flamenco. His most influential teachers were Rebeca Carmona (Darmstadt) and la Tani (Barcelona). By 18, Juan was dancing for various music & dance companies such as Compañía Flamenca Alhama and Noches De Amor, performing in Vienna, Berlin, and Zurich at the prestigious Bienal de Flamenco in Sevilla and in a command performance attended by His Majesty Juan Carlos King of Spain. With the Music Ensemble of Benares “Kathak meets Flamenco” project touring extensively throughout Europe in festivals such as “Carnival di Venezia” Venice Italy 2002. With Rafael Cortés giving concerts such as Flamenco festival in Krakow, Poland 2001. Siddi joined “Maria Benitez Teatro Flamenco“ troupe in 2002 with Extensive U.S. With “Chuscales” company at M.I.T. Cambridge 2006. Appearances as a guest artist/ choreographer for Theatre Flamenco San Francisco touring Canada and Mexico. American Bolero Dance Company in New York City, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet and most recently the 2021 Flamenco Festival Albuquerque.
