Hello all Santa Fe Rug Hookers!!!!!

We are getting close our event! A few things to do and know before you arrive are below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Please fill out this dietary request form so we can submit it to the hotel with your requests. Please complete this form by March 5. If you do not complete by March 5, we won’t be able to accommodate your nutrition requests. Please understand while we want everyone to have a great experience, this questionnaire is for REAL allergies and intolerances and NOT personal preferences.

We are still looking for items to sell at our Mercado. If you plan on bringing items to sell, please reach out as soon as possible so we can have a correct number and variety of items at our event.

Alicia will be organizing this for us, and the more of you that participate the more successful it will be!!!

Hello Amazing Fiber Artists,

We are officially in the home stretch for our Carrie Martin Rug Hooking Getaway in beautiful Santa Fe! By now, you should have heard from your teachers and have your room booked at La Fonda on the Plaza**.

If you have any issues connecting with your teacher or securing your hotel reservation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me—I’m happy to help. A quick reminder: if you choose not to stay at La Fonda, a commuter rate will apply, as we do have a contractual obligation with the hotel.

I hope you’re getting as excited as we are! I’ll be bringing lots of goodies for everyone, and we will have two pallets of Carrie’s wool shipped directly to the hotel. This trip may very well be the last opportunity to purchase her wool, so be sure to plan your wool funds—and leave space in your luggage to bring some treasures home.

In the next few days, I’ll also be sending photos of special items Carrie’s family is offering for sale, including:

* Two Grasshopper sewing machines
* One Bernina sewing machine
* One white Singer Featherweight sewing machine
* A zig-zag foot and additional Featherweight accessories
* Two excellent rug-hooking cutter box stands
* Hooking frames, hooks, and more

If you’re interested in any of these items, please contact me. I’ll coordinate delivery in Santa Fe or shipping directly to your home.

In addition, I’ll be bringing several of Carrie’s extraordinary hooked creatures and rugs. Some will be sold outright, while others will be part of silent auctions, raffles, and live auctions. It’s going to be a wonderfully full and exciting week!

For those interested in selling your own wares, please connect with Alicia B. (Seperate email to come out soon) about participating in our world-famous Mercado, happening Wednesday afternoon.

Nutrition information will be sent out soon. Please remember this form is intended for real allergies. We do our very best to accommodate dietary needs, though there are some limitations with the hotel. This year, we are moving more toward buffet-style meals to better support individual needs.

And of course—don’t forget to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer! From breathtaking desert views and scenic hikes to incredible shopping, farmers markets, Native American markets, world-class galleries, and amazing restaurants, there is truly something for everyone.

I can’t wait to see familiar faces and welcome new ones. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out. We want this to be a memorable camp—one you’ll want to return to again and again.
