Tonight, fall in love with Her all over again.

This film has always resonated with me deeply. Maybe because Theodore makes a living finding the words for other people—a strange, intimate kind of work I understand. Maybe because so much of my own life is spent telling stories through a screen, trying to make something digital feel personal and human. Or maybe it’s because Her understands that loneliness isn’t always the absence of people. Sometimes it’s the feeling that no one can quite reach the place where you are.

Spike Jonze’s tender, strange and beautifully lonely love story follows Theodore, a man who writes intimate letters for strangers while struggling to understand the shape of his own heart. Then he meets Samantha—an operating system with a voice, a personality and an emotional life that begins to feel more real than anything waiting for him offline.

More than a decade later, Her no longer feels like distant science fiction. It feels startlingly close. But beneath the technology, it remains a film about intimacy, memory, heartbreak and our very human need to be known by someone.

And this is why I will always believe in watching films together, in a dark theater, where the phone goes away and for two hours we give ourselves completely to someone else’s story.

Tim Curry, who soared to fame in the ‘70s as the flamboyant star of“The Rocky Horror Show," has died at 80.

A cause of death was not immediately available, though Curry had suffered from several health issues since having a severe stroke in 2012.

I love visiting my friends in their restaurants esp the chefs who I work so closely with! I love watching them move through the worlds they have built—the kitchens, dining rooms and creative spaces where so much of their lives are spent taking care of everyone else.

But what I love even more is watching a movie with them.

For a few hours, nobody has to host the table, cook the meal, pour the drink, make the introduction or keep the room moving. We simply sit beside one another in the dark and let someone else tell the story.

We laugh together. We grow quiet together. We recognize parts of ourselves in people we have never met—and sometimes understand the friends sitting beside us a little differently when the lights come back on.

That is what I wanted this night to be. Not simply food and a film, but a chance for the people who spend their lives creating experiences for others to become the audience for once.

Maybe that is why I will always love the cinema. It asks nothing of us except that we arrive, take a seat and feel something together.

Tonight, the dining room is a movie theater—and Santa Fe’s hospitality and film communities are taking every seat.

TONY Industry Night is officially SOLD OUT! A whole theater filled with the chefs, servers, bartenders, hosts, dishwashers and owners who bring restaurants to life—and the filmmakers, actors, crew and storytellers who bring life to the screen. Two industries built on long days, late nights, enormous collaboration and a little beautiful chaos, finally getting to sit down and enjoy the show together.

And then there is Tony. 💕

Anthony Bourdain truly inspired me to become a writer. He showed me that food was never only about what was on the plate—it was about the people who made it, the places that shaped them and every complicated, funny, messy story happening around the table. His way of seeing the world changed the way I wanted to tell stories, and so much of what became Go French Yourself began with that same curiosity about food, travel, hospitality and the humans behind it all.

Getting to bring these two pieces of my world—hospitality and film—together for a movie about the young Tony feels incredibly personal.

Tonight, we put down the trays, silence the ticket printers, call cut and watch his story unfold on the big screen. There will be free pintxos from La Boca Santa Fe , an afterparty at Tender Fire ♥️🍕 , and one lucky hospitality person will win a photo + video package with me.

Zahn McClarnon, known for his role as Joe Leaphorn in Dark Winds, walked in the SWAIA Native Fashion Show in Santa Fe on Sunday, August 16, 2026. He wore a custom Steven Paul Judd x NTVS vintage leather jacket. Judd is a Kiowa/Choctaw artist, designer, and filmmaker whose work blends contemporary streetwear with Indigenous design.

Zahn was part of Steven Paul Judd's star-studded lineup. Other participants included hoop dancers James Jones (Notorious Cree) and Eric Michael Hernandez, chef Pyet DeSpain, musician Mato Wayuhi, and basketball player Layla Curtis.

The show also offered a preview of the upcoming Nike N7 x Steven Paul Judd collaboration, expected to launch in fall 2026.
Vogue has highlighted Judd's designs, including hoodies and leather jackets, and his collaborations with NTVS, Nike, and Faherty.

It’s also awesome to see the success that both Steven Paul Judd and Zahn McClarnon have achieved over the years, especially knowing that Martha Fast Horse and I, representing WIN, had the opportunity to meet them both at the American Indian Film Festival a couple of years ago. It makes seeing their continued success today even more special.
