Today we celebrate the birthday of composer and pianist, Edvard Grieg. Raised in a musical family, Grieg found his passion for piano at an early age and continued to dominate this instrument, not only as a player but also as a writer. Two life-threatening cases of tuberculosis motivated Grieg to visit Denmark, as the climate was better for his condition. During his visits, he completed his one and only concerto for piano. This piece will be featured in our January concert, European Melodies, and performed by pianist Anna Geniushene. Subscriptions go on sale June 22!

Our Annual Gala, Fortuna's Masquerade, was an incredible evening! 🎭Beautiful masks were on display as attendees enjoyed a delicious meal and a live performance from The Santa Fe Symphony Chamber Orchestra.
