Many of you have heard this in our email newsletter, but after a wildly successful run, so many culturally important museum exhibitions, and joyful events, [CONTAINER] is closing its doors on Flagman Way. We had a mission, and we accomplished it.
We keep our artists’ needs at the forefront of our projects, and are realistic about the opportunities time presents. In 2022, our artists needed help traveling their monumentally-scaled works to museums. In our current political and economic context, they need us to focus on selling their artworks to both museums and to collectors. So...that’s what we’re doing!

Do you recognize this performance art piece? This is Punk Prayer, performed by Nadya Tolokonnikova as part of P***y Riot, and The Guardian named it one of the 20 most important art pieces of the century. It catapulted Tolokonnikova into performance and activism art fame, and two upcoming exhibitions are celebrating her legacy! ART ACTIONS at Indiana State University opens on September 30 with an artist talk on October 10, and the eponymous Nadya Tolokonnikova opens at RIT School of Art and Design on October 11 with an artist talk the same day.
