Enjoy a moment with a new painting from Charles Iarrobino, one of his signature chairs: "Golden Wicker" Oil, 16 x 16 in

From Charles: “I favor a painterly approach to the handling of the materials whereby a recognizable illusion is achieved, while at the same time the paint itself is celebrated and brushstrokes are not only visible, but are intrinsic to the success of the image. The completed painting should be a world unto itself, analogous to nature, but by no means its slave.”

We're thrilled to share a new colorful, big sky classic from John Rasberry: "Breaking Storm at Chaco Canyon" Oil, 14 x 22 in

John Rasberry’s landscape oil paintings invoke traditional representational art at its finest. He is inspired by landscapes, people at work and scenes of everyday life. “I paint what I love – dramatic lighting on landscapes and lifescapes,” says John. “Capturing the ‘golden hour’ of the morning and evening light or the mood of a foggy morning or stormy afternoon is everything. That moment can be elusive and may only last a few seconds. It can disappear and reappear like magic. It’s my inspiration. I strive to capture and convey that sense of place along with the feeling of that moment. My hope is that when people view my paintings they will feel that fleeting moment and share my experience. When I hear someone say ‘I feel like I’ve been there,’ I know I have made a connection and communicated my experience through my art.”

A simply magical, new wolf portrait by master painter Ed Aldrich.

Aldrich's style breathes life into his subjects and conveys a feeling of actually there. The viewer is drawn into a scene not to simply look at and appreciate it, but feels he or she has actually witnessed the wonder of wildlife. His precise brush technique and sense of light and composition place him in the tradition of the past masters of 19th century Britain such as Sir Edwin Henry Landseer.

We're excited to share a new cowboy classic from Charles Dayton: "Thundering Hooves at Sunset" Oil, 20 x 16 in

Charles was raised on a Wyoming ranch among the mountains, stoic people and powerful animals of the American West. He honed his drawing skills in college, but didn't start painting with oils until he was 26 years old. A chance visit by professional artist Karl Thomas proved to be pivotal. Karl asked to see samples of his work. Charles nervously showed the fresh paintings to the artist. After a long pause, Karl asked, “have you ever considered doing this professionally?” That was a powerful turning point. Charles has always appreciated that recognition of his potential. He began participating in workshops and studying art in museums and galleries. He also credits Cowboy Artists of America members Jim Norton, Roy Anderson, Grant Redden and Chad Poppleton with providing valuable direction on art's technical aspects. He has also studied with noted artists Dave Wade, and Jim Wilcox.
