MeTeORiC, sadly, will not occur this coming February 2026.

I’ve tried to let everyone know but I realize I’ve not even done the best job at doing that… which is indicative of my ability to pull off an event in six weeks time.

I wrestled with this choice for months and to all those whom have made plans I’m very, very sorry for the inconvenience. I do not make this decision to postpone MeTeMORiC lightly - it was hard - and yet essential for my own mental health.

Out of this turn of events a leadership team is forming to steward the festival for years to come - I know the best is ahead of us!

If you’d like to work on future events please be in touch and until then keep dreaming up amazing art to showcase in this lovely desert oasis town known as Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

If you are in Santa Fe this Friday please go see this amazing opening and share the after glow of the amazing vibes from MeTeORiC 2025 while cultivating new energy this show is certain to impart.

and Sun and Dust proprietress Emily Spykman toiled tirelessly helping with the hanging of the group show .art and for those of you whom experienced last Saturday evening I’m sure you’ll agree it was fabulous.

We’ve been burning the candles at both ends getting ready for MeTeORiC 2025 which starts tonight at 5pm at then continues 6-8pm , .torc, and .

8pm sees a special event st the lighthouse at 124 Austin st just west of on the corner of Austin and Mims. presents a reimagination of the great film La Jatee.

9pm-12am .o.r.c.a.v.a presents a psychic breakout dance party 420 Broadway - aka club 420 aka Ingo’s event space.

We can’t wait to see you all there.

Friday February 21st 6-8pm at .torc we are proud to present film “Fire Island”

Fire Island - A 23 minute looping 3-channel video that explores memory within an ever changing landscape. The film is dedicated to those who have lost their homes, both human and non-human, as a result of recent hurricanes, climate change, or the wandering dunes of time. Hannah Jayanti (Santa Cruz, CA)

Not to be missed!

Friday night Feb 21st 8pm at the Lighthouse at 124 Austin (just west of Riverbend) from Ojai, CA will live score the famous film La Jetée with .honorific performing a Voice Over.

“Scott Hirsch (Ojia, CA) honors the prophetic vision of the 1963 film, La Jetée, while sonically bringing to life a new way to experience the emotional and spiritual impact of the film. The film screening consists of live music and sound design interpretation along with a live voiceover by Olivia Pepper (Hillsboro, NM)”

TorC Friend:

Today (Friday, August 30th) is in town for this very special event and you are invited to come and get your portrait taken as part of their project “E Pluribus Unum”. It is requested that you bring a small object of personal significance to hold for the portrait.

This is an amazing opportunity and I hope many of our community will take advantage of this special treat.

Hello TorC Community:

On Wednesday August 14th at 9am the City Commissioners will meet, many discussions will ensue, but one is of the utmost concern to our community.

The Commissioners are being asked to consider the division of the land on the mesa where the Healing Waters Trail is located for POSSIBLE SALE.

I've created a short survey which will be presented during the public comment of that meeting and I ask you all to please share your opinion and also to get as many other people to share their opinions as possible. The survey is short - 5 questions - and totally anonymous.

I also encourage everyone to attend this meeting and voice your opinion. If you cannot attend please write a letter to the city clerk so it can be added to the public comments: Angel Torres [email protected]
