Traditionally thought of as a summer destination for music, opera, and visual arts, Santa Fe, New Mexico is also home to a world-class performing arts and culture scene throughout the winter months. The Art+Sol Festival is a landmark collaborative effort celebrating this rich artistic tradition in our beloved city. Over ten days, Festival audiences will experience symphony, song, chamber music, th

eater, chorus, and jazz against the beautiful backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Performances will take place in landmark venues and encourage visitors off the beaten path. Art+Sol Festival will also highlight Santa Fe’s museums, galleries, hotels, and restaurants – everything that makes this city a year-round destination. The festival idea was conceived by Andréa Cassutt (Santa Fe Pro Musica), Amy Iwano (Performance Santa Fe), and Emma Scherer (The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus), each at the beginning of their tenures as executive director of their respective organizations. The three leaders sought a way to highlight and attract more audiences to their year-round programming as well as to usher in a new era of collaboration across Santa Fe’s cultural landscape.
