Japanese Cultural Fair of Santa Cruz The mission of the Japanese Cultural Fair is to provide an opportunity for the community to increase their understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture.

The 2023 annual Japanese Cultural Fair of Santa Cruz will be held on Saturday, June 10th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mission Plaza Park (in front of the Holy Cross Church), 103 Emmett Street, Santa Cruz. The event is free and open to the public. For more than three decades, the fair has provided an opportunity for members of the Santa Cruz County community to increase their awareness and understand

ing of Japanese culture, both traditional and contemporary. Through the arts, crafts, and culture of Japan, the fair strives to improve mutual understanding among Pacific Rim neighbors, as well as enrich community life in the area. Through the decades, The JCF has increased the activities and events it provides to the community and continues to do so. Despite the uncertainty that we all have encountered as a community surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Fair being cancelled in 2020 and 2021, the event successfully happened in 2022.
