Artist/Designer Denny Earl Beck, recently retired from Northrop Grumman Corporation-NGC a global defense contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. e art sculptures. In November, 2012, Beck’s solid aluminum sculpture titled “Ascending” was selected as a semi-finalist in the prestigious Crocker Art Museum-Kingsley Art Exhibition. This bi-annual state-wide competition that has taken place since 1940 is hosted at the Blue Line Gallery. Juror Michael Duncan, the corresponding editor for “Art in America” magazine, selected Beck’s piece which is part of his “Minimalist Blocks Series.” “Ascending”
The piece chosen by Art in America magazine, was on exhibit from November 17, 2012 through January 5, 2013 at the Blue Line Gallery, in Roseville California. An art exhibit collaboration with Crocker Art Museum & the Kingsley Art Club. Beck the owner and founder of Santa Cruz Metal Works, has recently introduced a new product line of sculptured metal products, created from exotic metals such as copper, nickel, brass, bronze, aluminum, and stainless steel.
