Santa Cruz Jewish Theatre was worth every minute of sweat, tears, and immense joy. With very little to back us we built an amazing community theatre. Our shows grew better with every year we kept our little theatre going. We won international community theatre awards in acting and technical work from IMEA ( International Music and Entertainment Awards) for “Driving Miss Daisy “ and the latest version of “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Our venue was changing, however. Restrictions as to how it could be used unfortunately left out artistic work. We started to hunt other venues when an unexpected offer arrived in our mail- which brought us to North Carolina. We expected that our realization of beginning a new theatre, in our vision, would be challenging- so along with working toward that, I have been writing and Fred followed his desire to work in Counseling. We are still talking with people and meeting new folks who are interested in seeing our adventure in Jewish Theatre come to be. All that’s missing is Liliana ‘s energy!! And during our time here I received a Lifetime Achievement Award from “Who’s Who” in theatre and writing. Fred’s co-authored book, “Quantum Enigma” became a top seller for Oxford Press and pretty much up there on Amazon Books. We are keeping our 3 websites up. Will add to them as things happen. Love to all our friends and devoted fans ( we did have a few😊). We’ll see some of you next month in CA.
