Revisiting one of my sculptures from the 70’s. It is a bronze inspired by a photograph I saw in Time magazine of two kids on a hot summer day in New York City playing with the spray of a fire hydrant.

Ancient Spear, high fired ceramics altered with crushed oyster shells on forged wall mount. I make clay appear like metal that has been buried for centuries. They appear as relics. It measures 96 inches tall.

This beauty “Sails in the Wind” is one of the sculptures that I am exhibiting m.k. contemporary art exhibition CONFLUENCE opening this First Friday 5-8 and running till September 13.
