An older painting that just got a touch up- a little tweaking and I like it much better. Distance from the scene definitely helps me be more objective about what is and isn't working. Plus I remember that I was really cold that day. "Pacific Percussion" 9 x 12 will be available at Open Studios this October, unless you need it now!

Glad to share that my pastel "Creek Bend," a scene from one of my favorite eastern Sierra spots, was selected for the Pastels USA-99 Voices show. I am so honored to be in this show which celebrates 40 years of excellence in the pastel medium. The show is now open at VEFA Gallery in Torrance until September 12. If you’re in the area, you’re invited to attend the Gala Awards Opening Reception on August 8 from 6-8 pm.

Delighted to have these two painting juried into the Statewide California Landscape Show at the Santa Cruz Art League by juror Warren Chang. There will be a First Friday Santa Cruz reception on Friday August 7 from 5-7:30. "Awestruck" and "Silent Refuge" both pastel on archival paper.
