Had a wicked cold coming back from the DNC last week. It kind of delayed everything in my schedule last week, and hence the delay in getting these out.
I do want to say something about the third night of the convention. It was easily the most emotionally charged night of the week. The lead-up to Walz's speech had everyone "feeling their feels", as it were, which probably didn't translate to the TV viewership at home and may not have been communicated by the journalists on the ground, even though there were enough of them to crowd-surf on.
I mention this to provide context to anyone confused by Tim Walz's son's emotional reaction to his dad's speech. We were all feeling that moment at that time, and I hope one day to do something to inspire that kind of pride in my kid.
I have more words to say on this, but I'm going to leave it at that.
These were shot with a used $100 70 - 210 kit lens on a .
The combination of the OSS in the camera and lens and the lower pixel count in the A7S series really helped in a (sort of) low-light situation. If there is a next time, I'll bring a nicer lens.
