Production-quality AI video for free?
We gave it a shot! This video was crafted by our talented senior artist, Vasily Bodnar, using ComfyUI, Flux, and LTXVideo, with music created using Suno.

We think AI is an incredible tool for music videos and non-commercial projects. However, when it comes to commercial work, there are still challenges. AI still struggles with precise shot tweaks, which are essential for professional results. For dynamic content on event screens, large-scale images reveal an abyss of tiny flaws that go unnoticed in lower resolutions making the picture look ugly.
Swipe through the videos to check out some funny WIP results!

How to multiply people for tv commercial?

How do we get to see twins played by the same actor in one frame?

It`s a relatively simple but very effective visual effect. The key word is “relatively”.

The effect is known since the dawn of cinema. George Melies did it first – he replicated himself seven times in his short The One Man Band in 1900. In fact, today you can do simple version of it on your mobile phone in minutes!

But when it comes to commercials or movies, it becomes more complicated. Especially when you add movement to the camera.

Here we used greenscreen and motion control (and a bit of rotoscoping) to complete the shot. Digital compositing is the key to the final image.

Melies couldn’t do it back then!

«Producer» the Tamagotchi

Brand Bandai Namco in a joint venture with IMDB.com launches a new electronic toy for teenage and adult moviegoers «Producer» the Tamagotchi. According to its name, the electronic pet here is… a film producer. If you don`t entertain nor «feed» him with film projects he gets depressed and tends to walk out of the window. The game consists of listening to his pitches for new films or TV series. And that is where IMDB.com comes into play, the device connects to the IMDB database via the internet, or rather, it connects to AI which generates the ideas for movie projects and collects the cast, director, and screenwriter for it. And AI also uses creators who passed long ago, so you might get an unusual mix of Gone with the Wind and Stranger Things. And the application for the toy is very flexible, you can arrange the setting to use only the creators of one TV show or a franchise. So you easily can get a comedy musical with Game of Thrones personalities or a bloody slasher with familiar faces of the Harry Potter saga.

The producer will dance you a Mamoushka if he can make you happy with an interesting idea and will be very sad if you don`t press the button “Finance this project». By the way, you can present him with an Oscar if he creates something really extraordinary.

The toy will be launched this fall. Several famous film producers agreed to lend their personas to the toy. Can you guess their names?

Eyecandy!

There are lots of concept images that we do for every project, but sadly, they don`t get included into the final work. But they are so beautiful that we would like to show you some of the stuff that we have leftover after IPTC project.

The concepts created by Alexey Kondakov with the help of AI.

Max Kleen Commercial

Today we would like to share with you one of our older work. Older, but favorite of ours – a Max Kleen commercial. We created wings for Mother Nature, full CG process of cleaning the fabric and Mother Nature`s hand holding the package at the end. Well, that and a few other additions to the footage.

We got the client`s vision and followed their concept exactly, recreating it in 3D.

Video for Riyadh Bank outdoor screens

Riyad Bank came to us with the task of creating an effect for their video. They wanted to insert in the footage a flying glowing line or ribbon that would fly from one shot to another signifying the flow of power that energizes the world and its processes. At the same time it also means the stream of money that the bank is managing. And we all know that money is energy, right?

So that flow of light unites different events together just like financial flow keeps the world alive and going. That was the concept.

Moreover, we only had four days to complete the shots. The main shot was the last one – with the infinity sign turning into 66 (number years the bank keeps the money flow going). We first designed that one, where and how the glowing line enters the frame. Because the previous shot should end with the line coming out of the frame in exactly the same spot.

We created virtual 3D space and designed the flight of the light weave so that it would be one continuous movement. Then we set up the camera angles to match the footage shots angles and «filmed» the light weave the way that it would fly from shot to shot and unite the filmed space together despite the fact that the shots were filmed by different cameras from different positions. We also replicated every filming camera properties in our virtual cameras. That helped to integrate the new elements more naturally.

Our project for the Naked Eye 3D LED display

Last month we finished a new type of project for us – a video for Naked-Eye 3D LED display for a pretty large bank. This is relatively new technology that creates an illusion of 3D image for multiple viewers. This technology is so cool because it does not require any glasses or extra equipment to view the 3D image.

But you cannot take any video and just paste it onto that 3D LED display, it will not work. The video should be done not only specifically for the display, but also for the location of that screen, keeping in mind the spot the viewers will watch it from. That means you cannot take a video that was done for another 3D LED display and just play it on any 3D LED display you want. While making a CG video for such a display the artists should know where it will be played and where the viewers will be to create suitable perspective that would match that of the buildings around the screen. Usually the video contains borders that match the surrounding architecture in color and mimic being part of the building. Those borders are totally static. So the objects in the video can mimic sticking out of the opening and leaving their shadows on the borders. That completes the spatial illusion of the objects being real. But the viewers can see it this way only from one angle.

In order to see how it will look on site without going to the location every time, we create a 3D version of the location and use VR to evaluate the look of the whole thing. Then we show our client renders of the video applied to the location model.

And recently we had the opportunity of making such a video and it was so much fun! Of course it`s full CG. There is a breakdown of our creation.
