🌟The students haven’t stopped creating apppreciation letters for staff members of their school. Simple acts, grand effects!!

California Live contributor Angela Sun meets Sondra Weiss, founder of the ‘Lost Art of Love Letters’ project. The arts-integrated, creative letter-writing initiative helps students and community members take action by crafting handmade letters to promote positive change for our oceans.

A truly extraordinary experience to gather with other Ocean Lovers & advocates from around the planet to discuss ways to continue to protect & honor the Ocean. For the Ocean gives us life, the air we breathe, a place for rejuvenation & endless inspiration. It is home to exquisite & diverse creatures we have not even begun to explore or understand. By protecting the Ocean not only are we saving our own lives but that of many other of nature’s wonders.

🌊🏄🏽‍♂️ Raw stoke. Eyes wide open. Mouths even wider! Santa Barbara youth surfing their first waves ever! Beyond honored to witness these vibrant local kiddos rise beyond fear to excitement, courage & camaraderie.

Surf legend Bobby Martinez invited down Eddie Spaghetti
To offer youth from a life enhancing experience! Fresh out of the Ocean many of the youth emphatically stated they want more waves & can’t wait to go surfing again!! One girl with shine in her eyes, told me it felt like she was flying!

Epic waterman/filmmaker & Noah were on land shining good vibes & filming this salty rights of passage.

People ask me, what can we do about the mental health issues plaguing youth throughout our nation? This!!!This right here is one true answer to a deeply complex question. Ocean connection! The transformative power of the Ocean. It generates confidence, endorphins, community & contagious raw stoke.

💌🎶 “Love is the answer, at least for most of the questions in my heart” Jack Johnson

Jack is the humble zen master of igniting caring & adding good vibes to the world. His music brings us all closer together. Inspires our hearts & hands into actions for the greater good, for the planet & humanity.

It is not too surprising that 1,000+ people would assemble themselves in lines wrapping around the iconic Lobero Theatre Jack will be performing an intimate benefit concert honoring the 150th anniversary of the Lobero Theatre. Hopeful patrons got there as early as 8pm the night before to get one of the limited tickets!

✍🏽💕While waiting Love Notes were created. Jack fans could send a postcard to anyone in their life that could use a colorful pick me up!Postage & supplies were provided. If you’ve been listening to the news lately… you can understand why each simple act of caring is vitally important.

While creating postcards you can learn more about the magnificent Cetaceans in the Santa Barbara Channel & how to protect them. 🐋💌Free the whales! This kiddo has it right! Keep Cetaceans wild & free! Such intelligent & magnificent creatures belong in the wild with their pods. Not in tanks for our occasional entertainment. Time for change.
