The Funk Zone Artist Village is a temporary, experimental creative community of artists invested in fostering unity as professionals and maintaining a positive, secure, and affordable working environment while keeping the funk alive in Santa Barbara. The FZAV will foster over 20 creatives, practicing a variety of art forms. The FZAV will be a revolving outdoor art exhibition with sp

ace for public art and murals on the exterior of the storage containers. The project is temporary in nature and is expected to last 2-3 years. The FZAV was created with a partnership between Mesa Lane Partners, the property owner, and the Santa Barbara Foundation, Santa Barbara’s largest philanthropic organization.
