Meet and greet our instructors!
Amy has 15 years of improv experience, with longform comedy theater experience on the east coast. She loves the thrill of being put on the spot and joy of being surprised at what arises between characters, as well as deep vulnerability and listening. She is a trained therapist, so she likes to offer an environment where students feel safe to let go. She prefers longform and co created the longform workshop at SB improv on Thursday nights. You can see her play at the 3rd Saturday Longform shows through SB Improv as well as first Fridays at Ventura Improv Co!

This month we have a new, one day workshop: Clowning for Improv!
Our own Mariangelica Duque will be teaching. It's a two hour workshop on Saturday, April 29th starting at 10 am. The cost is $25 and the size is limited to 15 people, so sign up as soon as you can. This is open to the public, and I expect it to fill up fast.

Howdy Folks! Due to a scheduling conflict, Kymberlee and I traded teaching nights for the Wednesday Workshop. I'll be teaching this Wednesday (3/29) and Kymberlee will be teaching next Wednesday (4/5). Rob is still teaching the following Wednesday (4/12).

Get to know our instructors!
This week's featured SB Improv Instructor is HollyMae. She has been doing improv for 5 years, first walking into a beginner workshop in Portland and falling in love with impov immediately. She loves that improv is always new and fresh, and it brings people together in heartfelt collaboration. Her teaching methods center on an environment that's safe and inclusive to be able to tap into the collective brilliance through the group mind. ¨Let the inner weirdo out,¨ she says, ¨who is the true source of our genius.¨
Even though she loves teaching short form, her heart belongs to long-form. She teaches the Wednesday night Short Form class occasionally, and also just taught a 6-week intensive course called Foundations of Long Form. (Level 2 coming soon!)
