The Santa Barbara Culinary Experience - join us May 11-17, 2026!

This year, SBCE is awarding $35,000 in grants to seven local nonprofits working across food access, agriculture, culinary education and community wellness. That’s a $5,000 increase from last year!

We’re also proud to launch the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience Scholarship through the SBCC Foundation, funding two scholarships for students entering Santa Barbara City College’s Culinary Arts program. 🥘

Every meal shared, workshop attended, ticket purchased and event enjoyed helps us continue giving back to the community we love.

The secret behind a good cup of coffee starts well before the beans are ground and the water is added. ☕️

During SBCE 2026, our friends at Zaca Coffee hosted a class diving into the craft behind every cup, from roasting techniques to the flavors that develop along the way.

It was a delicious look at just how much goes into the perfect brew! Make sure to check them out!

What an honor it was during SBCE 2026 to have so many wonderful people under one roof to honor 2025 Julia Child Award recipient Bobby Stuckey. 🍽️

The evening featured an incredible conversation with Bobby and Caroline Styne, moderated by fashion designer Heidi Merrick, about food, wine, hospitality, and Bobby’s work with Frasca and his book Friuli Food and Wine!

We were also excited to announce Sam Kass as the 2026 Julia Child Award recipient.

Such a special evening at Godmothers celebrating Bobby, his legacy, and the people who continue to make the culinary world so exciting.

Today we celebrate the joy and curiosity that inspired everything we do at the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience. Julia showed us cooking isn’t about perfection, it’s about passion, learning, and fun along the way.

That’s our spirit too: good food, hands-on education, and experiences that make cooking feel accessible to all.

What a fun week filled with incredible food, amazing wine, and great conversations! A little throwback to seven delicious days in Santa Barbara County!

Adventure, incredible food, and unforgettable experiences made this year’s Santa Barbara Culinary Experience one to remember. A handful of brave guests took on the fastest zip line in California at Highline Adventures, enjoyed delicious tacos from Tacos El Bacha, and created beautiful protea bouquets. 💐

We loved seeing you all explore, connect, and make lasting memories throughout SBCE 2026. We can’t wait for next year!
