The Sanibel Recreation Center is excited to announce the completion of a major enhancement to the Heron Room, a multi-generational game room, made possible through a generous grant from The Kate Foundation. The newly updated space features a wide variety of recreational activities designed to encourage fun, connection, friendly competition, and active play for participants of all ages.

The City of Sanibel and the Sanibel Recreation Center extend our sincere gratitude to Sanibel American Legion Post 123 for their generous $500 donation in support of our Field of Heroes project.

Their contribution will help sponsor flags in our display of 2,977 American flags, honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and paying tribute to the heroes, first responders, service members, and everyday Americans whose courage continues to inspire us.
