My Trisha-
Thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders. If you know her you know that she will tell you exactly how it is whether you like the truth or not. She does not sugarcoat. While she stays behind the scene she is such a huge part of my motivation.

She has motivated me into becoming a better dancer by making sure I know I CAN! She has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders and my ninja partner.

When it comes to creativity and making a girl feel gorgeous. There are only 2 people who know exactly how to execute it with perfection. Ms. Betty and Shelly.

The beautiful costumes they have made over the years for me have made me feel confident on and off stage.

They also both have given me quick dance lessons and taught me different techniques on how to stretch my body.

But the thing they have given most is their LOVE! They both make me feel so special everytime I see them. They make me feel like I am family. I know when I am with them I am so loved. ❤❤❤

And then there is Jen. She is my diabetic sould mate. She was also my ballet teacher, mentor and one of my biggest cheerleaders.

Jen taught me a love for ballet that can never be taken. She pushed me in such a loving way it made me fall in love with the art of ballet.. She taught me to laugh at myself. She taught me to love me. She was there when I cut all my hair off.

She knew exactly how I was feeling by just looking at me. Not only is she an amazing teacher but an amazing human. She showed me in many ways how to value myself and for that I will forever be grateful. Love you Jen always.

As if her name were not magic enough, I first met Mrs. Myrna as I was losing my hair.
A beautiful world renowned ballerina with legs for days. She and I got to do privates together and still all I can think about is one day traveling this world with her.

She gave me strength and hope in dark, sad days amoung teaching me ballet. If you know dance then you know ballet is the the basic fundamental behind all other types of dance. This is when I fell in love with ballet along with when Mrs. Jen taught (but that is for another day ;) ) She gave me a pointe shoe reminding me each day to KEEP GOING! I keep it on my mirror so each day I can see those words. She has been an inspiration since I met her. Sweet, beautiful and willing to share her talent with those around her.

Today's highlight is someone who went from being a team mate my first year on the comp team to a teacher after graduating from college and touring with Cats (yes Broadway😍). But before she was a cat she was a Hook.

I remember watching Mariah do the Neverland production for the Competition team when I was still with Mrs. Gaylene. She did this fabulous back layout, she was BIG on stage, her expressions made you want to jump up there with her. She made you want to get out of your seat. Watching her was like watching superman fly down from the clouds. Everyone was just amazed by her talent. This is when I knew I wanted to be a part of the Competition team. I wanted to be Hook. Luckily I got my wish and was able to go on the next yr and compete beside her in God Bless America.

Mariah came back as a teacher full time when Covid hit. To be honest at first it was hard. Her expectations were very high. She was no longer a teammate she was an experienced professional teacher.

I would come home and my body felt like it was going to shatter.

Mariah has taught me endurance, she has taught me the integrity side of being on a team and if your not going to give it your all you might as well not be there. And integrity within my own dance.. She has taught me control over my body. When I make her smile or hear her get excited I know that it is 100% real. I am blessed to have had both sides of her as a teammate and teacher. ❤

There is no better place to begin then the beginning.... When I started dance I was 3. I started with Mrs. Gaylene on Saturday mornings. She would teach me the fundamentals of dance in the most fun ways. We didn't realize we were learning because of how much fun she would make it. She always had a smile and was always super energetic. I would stay with her until I was 5 years old.

Little did I understand was that those big beautiful pictures on the wall at the studio of that girl bending back in this perfect pose, ya know the one I wanted to be just like because she was on the studio wall, the one that I would go on to mimic in my dance videos. Well that was Mrs. Gaylenes daughter Noelle. She would be be my inspiration for the next few years. She would be the person I wanted my dance to be able to transition to. She had inspired me in ways Moana or Elsa inspires other little girls. ❤
