I'm reflecting on this Industrial I performed nearly a decade ago.
In hindsight, I would not recommend this particular piercing for this client's anatomy. If they were to approach me today, I would advise against an Industrial piercing and instead suggest alternative options better suited to their ear.
While this piercing has ultimately healed successfully, it's clear that the client experienced a prolonged healing process and still encounters occasional irritation - a common issue with cartilage piercings.
At the time, I was hesitant to decline clients' requests, but I've since learned the importance of exercising my professional judgment and saying 'no' when necessary. This skill has proven invaluable, as clients generally appreciate my expertise and honesty. In fact, I've only encountered one instance of a client becoming upset when I declined their request, and it was clear from the start that they were not a good fit for my services.
Reflecting on this experience has been enlightening, and I'm grateful for the positive outcome. It does, however, make me consider the potential consequences of other piercings I may have performed in the past where the client was not as fortunate.
Thanks to this client for stopping back in for new piercings, and letting me take photos of their Industrial!
