We are excited to bring the music of American Composer, William Billings, to our audience this weekend!

Here are a few words from our Assistant Director, David Kime, regarding his choice to program this piece.

"When you think of American sacred choral music, William Billings may not be the first composer who comes to mind. He was, however, among the "founding fathers" of choral music in the United States. A colorful figure of the Revolutionary War era, his music reflects a rugged, raw, somewhat unfinished feeling, seemingly evocative of early America. I find this characteristic in Billings's music to be fascinating and charming, so I am very pleased to be performing "Let Every Mortal Ear Attend" with Santos Chamber Singers this week!"

Please visit our Facebook Event for "Sacred Heritage" to RSVP for the concert this Friday, August 2nd.

Come join us in the beautiful Museum of Art on the Brigham Young University campus. "Sacred Heritage" is a celebration of American Christian worship traditions, and what it means to serve Jesus Christ and our neighbor. Featuring music from Sacred Harp, Latter-Day Saint, Catholic and African-American traditions, the wide array of music will be sure to entertain all who attend. The evening will also feature works by internationally-acclaimed, Provo-based composer, Andrew Maxfield. This will include the U.S. premiere of his setting of William Blake's "The Lamb," and a new work, "Pure Religion." Admission to the concert is free, with an encouraged donation of $10-20.

Seating in the Museum of Art will be limited. Please RSVP to the concert using this link to our website:

We are looking forward to seeing you this Sunday at our program "Eternal Voyage".

We are excited for you to experience the world premiere of "A Life on the Ocean Wave," a setting of the Epps Sargent's poem by Utah-based, award-winning composer Clark William Lawlor.

About the piece, Lawlor said, "Sargent’s poem can be taken literally, or it can be a metaphor for the storms of life. Sometimes we lose
sight of land, and the winds and the waves can drive us to our breaking point. But these storms shape
who we are, and with the help of those around us—our “stout vessel and crew”—we can turn our faces
into the wind and say, 'Let the storm come down!'”
