The Town of Sandwich Recreation Department is thrilled to announce an opportunity to join our team in a newly opened FULL-TIME Program Coordinator position! If you’re energetic, creative, community‑minded, and passionate about making a positive impact, we’d love to meet you.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to help us plan, develop, and run inclusive and engaging recreational programs and events for the Sandwich community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fun and fast-paced environment, and loves bringing new ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating, coordinating, and implementing diverse recreational programs and events
• Research and apply new trends and best practices to enhance program quality
• Support community engagement with a friendly, high‑energy, and professional approach
• Some evening, weekend, and holiday hours required
Who We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s Degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, physical education, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Creative thinker with flexibility, reliability, and the ability to connect well with people of all ages
• CPR certified and familiar with ADA requirements
Pay & Benefits:
• $30.00 per hour
