Our final senior feature 🥹. Get to know Willow!

Willow joined ALIGN our very first season. She immediately because a leader and a major piece of the heart of our studio. Her kindness and warmth towards every dancer is exactly what makes her a a standout member of this community. Willow, your presence in the studio will be missed terribly, but we could not be more excited for you to share your talents, kindness, and positive attitude with the world. We will be forever routing for you and cheering you on, and whenever you need a soft place to return, and friendly faces waiting for your arrival, we will be here with open doors!

Q: How many years have you danced at ALIGN?
A: I have danced at Align for five years.

Q: What is your favorite memory at ALIGN?
A: I think my fondest memories has been the final dance each year where I watch as the younger classes come out, hold hands, and bow after recital. That or getting the buzzer at dancing in the streets!

Q: What is your advice to younger dancers and your fellow classmates?
A: My advice would be to stick with it. The momentary stress or fear is scary but the relationships you’ve built at Align will help you through, and when it’s all over, having a family like Align will forever be worth it! I couldn’t imagine my life without the beautiful faces that great me each night at the studio. The memories and relationships you build through dance will support you through every part of your lives.

Get to know our SEASON 5 SENIOR Abrieanna!

Abrieanna is a fierce, smart, and incredible young adult. Abrie, we have all been so lucky to watch you grow into the confident, and one of a kind dancer and human that your are. The loudest to cheer for others, and the biggest personality on stage and in any room. We cannot wait to watch you take the stage for the last time this weekend. Although, I know you may close the curtain on your high school dance journey, you are about to make the entire world your stage and the ALIGN community will be cheering you on forever!

Abrienna is headed off to in the fall, where she will spend her freshman year on their new NYC campus.

We hope you always return home and know that when you need to dance it out with your friends, these doors are always open! 💖

Get to know Abrie below!

Q: How long have you danced at ALIGN?
A: 4 years

Q: What is your favorite ALIGN memory?
A: My favorite memory at Align is definitely getting the buzzer for two of my favorite dances I’ve ever performed. One was “Whipped Into Shape,” where I played Brooke Windham. I really put my heart and soul into that character, so getting the buzzer was incredibly rewarding. Another favorite was my duet with my sister, Juliette. We genuinely have so much fun on stage playing the role of sisters. While we may not be the most technical dancers, we definitely know how to put on a show, so it was really exciting to achieve that together.

Q: what is your advice to your classmates and the younger generation of dancers?
A: My advice to younger dancers, both in dance and in school, is to always be your true, authentic self. Every person is different and unique, and it’s a waste of a lifetime trying to become someone else. Embrace what you love and do what makes you happy. Never avoid doing something just because you’re scared others might judge you.

Get to know our senior Payton! Payton is a talented dancer, athlete and student. We have loved watching her grow into the most amazing young adult. Her future is bright as she heads off to in the fall!

Payton, we hope you continue to thrive, shine, and never stop reaching for the stars! When you need a place to visit and dance it out with your friends, we hope you always return home!! We love you and are forever so proud of you!! This is just the beginning of a big beautiful life ahead! ⭐️

Q: How long have you been dancing at ALIGN?

A: I have been dancing at align since my freshman year of high school and I could not ask for a better four years.

Q: What is your favorite memory at ALIGN?!

A: One of my favorite align memories would be when our dance “whipped into shape” or “stand out” got the car horn at dancing in the streets!! These moments filled me with so much excitement and I was so lucky to experience this with my friends.

Q: What is a piece of advice you would like to share with your classmates, or the younger students at the studio?

A: A piece of advice that I would give to the younger dancers and classmates would be to focus on yourself and your personal growth rather than comparing yourself to others because everyone learns and dances differently and that’s what makes everyone unique! I would also tell them to always be kind and supportive to everyone around them and to always have fun!!

Hi!

We are so excited to open up registration for our SEASON 5 opening number performance!

This is an additional performance opportunity available to all ALIGN students in 2nd grade and up! Participation requires a $30 rehearsal fee, and a DIY costume (bring from home! details below). Company dancers participate free of charge

This piece will open both SHOW A and SHOW B. Dancers can participate in both shows or just one - please specify in the reg form which shows they will be participating in and please make sure your dancer is aware of which shows they are dancing it at rehearsal!

To participate dancers will need to be present for all of the following rehearsals:

Studio Rehearsals:
Friday May 1st - 4:45pm - 6:00pm
Monday May 4th 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Friday May 8th 4:45pm - 6:00pm

Blocking May 9th at Mashpee HS
Show A: 11:00-11:10 with run through from 12:50 - 1:20pm
Show B: 3:30 - 3:40pm with run through from 5:00-5:40pm

Dress: May 11th at Mashpee HS
Show A: 3:00pm - 3:10pm with run through 5:35-6:10pm

Dress: May 13th at Mashpee HS
Show B: 3:00pm - 3:10pm with run through 5:35-6:10pm

Note: Show C will not include the opening number!

COSTUME:

Our costume for this piece will be a school outfit - something the dancers might wear to a normal day of school. Think jeans, T-Shirt, dress with shorts under neath, etc. Please make sure that although these are normal street clothes, they chose something they can comfortably and safely move in while staying covered. Avoid dresses or skirts with out shorts included, overly baggy tops that come up if doing cart wheels or active moves. Have fun with it!

Dancers should bring their desired outfit to the first rehearsal on May 1st for approval! Once approved they should keep the clothing aside with their costumes so that pieces are not lost or damaged in the meantime!
