Wow! Looks like most of the country is in for some nasty weather starting tonight and heading east. Pop is not going to experience the white fluffy stuff but we may get some ice here in Myrtle Beach. I can't believe I got the display down and 80% put away before the high winds hit. All packed away until next year. Here are a few stats about the length of the train tracks and the coaster length.
The total length of train tracks was 358 feet. That's a lot of track to clean. The coaster measured a total of 369 feet. I've made longer coasters and I'll work on surpassing 400 feet next year.

Merry Christmas from Pop's! Thank you all for coming out to see the display. This is my 30th year outside and I truly love putting it together. I've heard from countless people that this is their number one place to see in Sandusky! A very heartfelt Thank you! I even received an award from a family as Most Creative!
As this years display will soon be coming down, next year's display is being created in my mind. Looking forward to building next year. See you in 2026!

The weather hasn't been co-operative the last 4 to 5 days. The cold blast has frozen the gears of the coaster but the trains and small rides are working.
Mark your calendar for December 13th! Santa will be making a stop at Pop's. According to the Sandusky Fire Department Santa will leave the fire house downtown at 5:30 pm and will stop to see all the kids after he rides through E.Adams street, E. Jefferson street and E.Madison street.

Rides are gearing up and the trains are staying on the tracks here at Pop's. Just a few more days of testing and we'll be running nightly. Cartoon characters are jumping out of the totes and running to their prospective spots except for you know who! That's right, Daffy has been driving Pop crazy to get out and find hiding spots in the yard. Once I give him the ok, it's off to the races!

Well the past three weeks went by really fast. Here are a few pics of this years display. Still have a lot more lights to put up. We start test running all the trains this weekend as well as test running the large coaster.
You heard it here first! Santa is scheduled to stop by Pop's on December 13th with a rain date of December 20th. More details in the coming days.
