“The greatest discovery of my generation is that man/woman can alter his/her life simply by altering his/her attitude of mind.” —-William James
As we experience different stimuli from our external world, all the sensory data the brain and mind are processing causes a host of different neural networks to create mindful internal representations of what is in our external world. This allows us to recognize everything we could possibly know in our external environment. On a daily basis, the bombardment of various sensory information activates the circuits in our brain to think equal to our encounters with our immediate environment. In other words, the environment is making us think.” Joe Dispenza
So what do you think about after you’re watched the news or a video about crazy things that people do or say? Are you being bombarded repeatedly with catastrophic events so much that it becomes the world you think you live in? The more frequently we are exposed to the same environmental stimuli, the more we wire our brains to the same things in our external world! But the brain and mind are not static; they are forever changing based on what we put in them! Which circuits we use: our attention and intention, what memories we embrace, what actions we demonstrate, what thoughts we think, what feelings we keep alive and what skills we practice keep our self wired to be who we are. Our freedom of choice determines what mind we want to make or change from the hardware of our own individual brain! Behaving habitually takes no effort at all—no conscious awareness means no free will need to be exerted. Are you going through life on autopilot?

The small painting I did of the magical mountain that would disappear and then reappear every day! It’s named after St. Patrick and I watched it come and go for a week at my art retreat and wanted a closer look! This painting was lost and now I found it again in my stash of collage materials!

I’m thinking that I’m done creating my composition for my “Down the Rabbit Hole” that Alice is dreaming about! It is sort of different from Lewis Carroll’s Alice Adventures in Wonderland because my Rabbit is very different and colorful! I had a difficult time with him so I wanted to use him the way I perceived him with Alice and the Queen of Hearts so I printed this in red ink! I’m liking it so far now I have to glue it all to the wooden board. Encaustic waxes will be the last step probably or maybe more surface embellishments!
