Dogs are the best! And dogs in camping chairs are even more the best. This commission introduced me to Spinone Italianos. This breed was new to me and is fairly new to the AKC (2000). The print is in the style of my Dog Days of Summer series, and is in memory of the orange roan on the left. I got to meet the brown roan and the beard and droopy eyes are even more terrific in person.

Colorful dog pieces that sold during my show at . They are originals with no print reproductions, so they are out in the world, and I’ll probably never see them again. It’s a weird feeling but ultimately a good one. I’m going to be a real mess when my actual alive human children leave home.

Happy Halloween from all my spooky pieces that mysteriously disappeared (sold!) during my exhibit at . What an awesome hang out spot- truly a gathering place for the Sandpoint community. I feel so lucky to have been able to show my work there! I’ll have a few more haunting pieces at my show opening tomrrow at the Farmin Building. See you there… if you dare! 🎃👻💀🧛‍♂️

The reception for my final show at the Farmin Building is this Friday, Nov. 1 from 5-7pm. There will of course be snackies and drinks. The gallery across the street is holding a reception that night as well, so come kick off November with lots of art!

Idaho had a contest to redesign their wildlife license plates, and they announced the winners last week. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t me. I submitted entries for the Elk plate with two different background colors, the Trout plate, and the Bluebird plate. They weren’t picked, so that’s a bummer. I think ultimately it came down to style preference, or at least that’s what I’m telling myself to make myself feel better.

asked me if I could create a custom drink menu for her wedding. She wanted to lean into a Great Gatsby vibe and feature her two rescue pups. The Great Gatsby and rescue dogs are two of my favorite things so of course this was a yes for me. Drawing these two one-of-a-kind and oh-so-adorable pups was so fun. Thanks Devon, and congratulations! ✨
