Visit the Hawthorne Gallery’s warehouse and Shelby Hawthorne’s glass studio during West End art festival! Saturday 8/23 & Sunday 8/24 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM. This is the only weekend our warehouse is open to the public! The Hawthorne Gallery in Big Sur will also be open. Gallery hours are 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Learn more about West End at

We are so happy to have another Chris Hawthorne vessel on consignment here at the gallery. This beautiful vessel, like other glass pieces, changes depending on the lighting. In the sunlight, it appears to be more blue. Away from direct lighting, it appears more purple. Come visit the gallery to see this amazing vessel and our other wonderful glass pieces!

Beautiful and functional! ‘s plates are always a treat to have at the gallery. This wonderful set of 8 plates comes in a colorshifting emerald. Watch as the color changes depending on the angle and lighting. Some blue, purple and yellow can be visible.
