Introducing Thursday’s teacher:

Leilana Majri is a Bay Area based dance artist, choreographer, and educator teaching ballet, contemporary, and movement practices for adult and pre-professional dancers. She holds a BFA in Dance from Dominican University of California’s Alonzo King LINES Ballet program, where she graduated summa cm laude, with minors in Performing Arts for Social Change and Arts Management.

Originally from Los Angeles, Leilana trained at the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet and the Colburn School and has continued her development through programs with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, LINES Ballet, Post Ballet, and the Martha Graham School in New York. Her background in both ballet and modern techniques informs a teaching approach that emphasizes strong fundamentals, musicality, and individual expression.

As a choreographer, her work has been presented in both traditional and nontraditional spaces, and she brings that same spirit of exploration into the classroom. A certified GYROTONIC® trainer and Plant-Based Nutrition coach, Leilana integrates conditioning, alignment, and sustainable movement practices into her teaching.

She creates a focused yet supportive environment where dancers can train with rigor, build confidence, and deepen their connection to movement—whether pursuing dance professionally or just for fun!

We can’t wait to dance with you ✨
