Gallery Azul celebrates 20 years
ARTIST’S CALL OUT
Open call for artists that have exhibited with Gallery Azul within the last 20 years. No theme. One art piece per artist. 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art accepted. Photography and other works on paper must be framed or have a system for display. This a juried show, if you have exhibited with us in the past 20 years your submissions will be accepted.
Opens 1st Thursday, November 5, 2026, 6PM -9PM
Artists Reception Saturday, November 14, 2026, 4PM-8PM
Open 1st Thursday, December 3, 2026, 6PM -9PM
Closing reception Saturday, December 12, 2026, 4PM -8PM

Gallery Azul presents “Why Do I Care”, an art show seeking to bring attention to the places where Q***r identity and culture intersect, informing the issues we care about and the causes we fight for. Who or What matters most to you, and what do you wish other people cared more about? What BIPOC issues do you feel are often overlooked in Q***r spaces. What Q***r issues do you feel are often overlooked in BIPOC spaces? How can we better cultivate empathy together?

Interested artists submit your 2D or 3D artwork to [email protected] by August 28th! Please include your name, titles of your artwork, mediums, dimensions, and price in your email. Write ups are optional but encouraged! DM for any questions.

We will be having the closing reception during the 2nd Saturday artwalk Aug. 8, 1-4pm, and after heading to galeria_yasmin for their opening for Artbolish ICE , 6-10pm Cora Ramirez-v and Harmony Azul V will be exhibiting there. Very fun filled Saturday!
