I always get a bit sad when the fair is over and we break down Expo Hall, much like Cinderella's grand coach turning back into a pumpkin. The good news is that Boris Koodrin and I are already talking about the 2018 San Mateo County Fair, and how we can make the San Mateo County Fair- Fine Arts Galleria and the The Literary Stage, San Mateo County Fair even better!

I'm proud to say that Laurel Anne Hill will interview me during my novel launch on Sat June 10th from 4:30 to 5:30. We'll discuss how the real event of how my temper tantrum prompted me to burn multiple versions of my then novel in progress, The Mud Eater's Apprentice. Funny thing is, out of those black ashes rose up a new epoch, Novelmania. Sometimes you have to be willing to let go of something you think is so precious, in order to allow for new and wonderful opportunities. I'm so glad I burned the bloody thing, otherwise I'd probably still be obsessively rewriting it!

Join our many volunteers at this year's central fire in putting together our 18,000 sq. foot gallery of art, photography and literary entries.
