Now Casting Singers for "Madama Butterfly!"
Cinballera Entertainment will open its third season with Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece "Madama Butterfly." We're doing the full opera in Italian at the Star Theater in Oceanside on August 16 and 17. The dress rehearsal will be on August 15. We plan to start weekly chorus rehearsals next week.
We are hiring opera singers of all voice types for the Geisha chorus, Butterfly's relatives, and a few male comprimario roles. All positions will be paid.
We're also looking to fill a few behind-the-scenes positions, in case you're interested in helping out in a non-performing way. We need to volunteers to be greeters in the lobby, someone to run lighting, and someone to run the back projected slides (must have an understanding of music and/or Italian). We're also looking for a stage manager.
