SLO REP is proud to be one of the oldest continuously running non-profit theatres in the nation.

In late 1947, a small group of plucky theatre lovers decided to "put on a show!" A name for the group was decided, a venue was procured, and rehearsals began for San Luis Obispo Little Theatre's first production — Noel Coward’s "Blithe Spirit" — which opened at the San Luis Obispo High School Auditorium in early 1948.

80 years later, we're still here!

From those early days to today, through thousands of performances, countless artists and generations of audiences, one thing has remained the same: the magic of live theatre shared in the heart of our community.

And now, we’re thrilled to celebrate our 80th Season! A milestone year filled with unforgettable characters, extraordinary stories and the artists who bring them to life.
