At the core of what makes our festival so special: The Live Oak Way. 🤎🌳✨

Each year, for three beautiful days, we get to create a magical community together at Live Oak. Beyond the music, the fun, and the deep relaxation we all experience, what truly sets this village apart is the way we care for, respect, and look out for one another. The spirit of "The Live Oak Way" relies on each of us being conscious of how our actions affect our neighbors.

Whether you’re already relaxing at camp or getting ready to head over for a day, here is a gentle reminder of how we keep the magic alive for everyone this weekend:

🤎 Be Kind: A little friendliness goes a long way in our temporary village.

🤫 Quiet Hours: Please be extra considerate of your camp neighbors after midnight so everyone can recharge. 🌙

🎭 Audience Etiquette: Keep conversations quiet during performances, observe the no-smoking policy, and please wait to move to or from your seat between songs (just like you would at a theater!).

👋 Parents: Please keep an eye on your kids, even the teens.

🛑 Respect Boundaries: Stay within designated camp boundaries—infringements jeopardize our future use of this beautiful site.

Ready to jump into a Live Oak camp jam with confidence? Our Jamming Workshops start this afternoon! 🪕🎻🎶

Whether you’re a total beginner, a seasoned picker, or your instrument is your voice, these workshops are the perfect place to sharpen your skills, learn jam etiquette, and pick up new tunes!

Come hang out with us in the beautiful breeze and shade of the tent and trees at Stage Too. Here is the lineup for the weekend:

🌳 TODAY (Friday) | 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Joe Craven: Learn from a legendary multi-instrumentalist and master of rhythm! Joe is ready to share expert tips and improv secrets to help musicians of all levels join any camp jam with confidence.

🌳 Saturday | 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Phil Salazar & Michael Gutin: Join local fiddle legend Phil and accordion ambassador Michael to learn the essential chords, rhythms, and improvisational skills needed to pick, strum, or sing in a group.

🌳 Sunday | 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Ynana Rose & Jill Gutierrez Wilde: An inclusive, educational, and fun workshop focusing on connection and creative expression. Ynana and Jill are passionate about welcoming more women into jam spaces (all genders welcome!) and will leave you with a great foundation for your "jam game."

The KCBX Stage audience area opens sharply at noon for our very first walk-in of the weekend! 🌰

Seating near the main stage is thoughtfully arranged to keep sightlines open and welcoming for our entire Live Oak family. As you head in to claim your spot for the day, here is how we can all enjoy the best view in the house:

🪑 Camp Chairs: Please use camp-style chairs (seat 20" max, back 40" max) so the neighbors behind you can see all the magic on stage!

🧺 Blankets, Tarps, and Beach Chairs: These are absolutely perfect for spreading out and relaxing in our designated blanket areas.

🤝 Community Chairs: Remember, a favorite Live Oak tradition is that empty chairs in the audience area are available for others to enjoy until the owner returns! If you prefer your chair not be temporarily used, just take it with you when you step away.

The line is forming, the sun is shining, and the weekend is officially here. Let’s create a beautiful, welcoming audience space together under the sky! ☀️
