Hello Members and Partners! Following our Friday Workshop this upcoming week, join us for a fun member/partner movie night from 8-10 pm! 🍿We will be cutting loose and watching Footloose, a fun and inspirational movie about a rebellious teenager who challenges a small town’s ban on dancing.

After workshop, we will head over to Room 112 in the Business Building together, but please feel free to come on your own if you cannot make it to the workshop! There will be popcorn and we recommend bringing snacks, comfy clothes and blankets! See you there!!

Welcome back to our Friday Workshop! This Friday (Week 7) join us from 5-8 pm in Architecture 5-225 to learn Two Step, a partner freestyle! The workshop will be beginner level and you do not have to come with a partner to participate, so please come learn with us!

Reminder that on this upcoming Saturday, February 24th, we are hosting a W***y Wonka Themed Barn Dance and YOU are invited! It will take place in the Chumash Auditorium and doors will open at 6 pm. From 6:30-7:30 pm, we will be teaching:

🍭Body Talks (Body Talks by The Struts)

We highly encourage you to wear fun outfits that relate to the W***y Wonka theme (suggestions include candy-themed outfits or W***y Wonka characters)! Unfortunately, boots are not allowed so please wear other comfy shoes. The event is completely free to members and partners and will be 10 dollars cash for non-members. Are you interested in joining the CLDC officer team? We are having an informational meeting this upcoming Friday in room 05-226 (the room right next to our normal Workshop room) from 5:00-5:30 pm!

We will be discussing what each core officer position is responsible for, what the time commitment may look like, how elections work and any questions you may have!

If you have been a member for at least two quarters (which includes this current quarter), you are eligible to run for a core officer position! Even if you do not know for sure if you would like to run, please come and learn more about it! Being a CLDC officer is very rewarding and a great way to get involved with the club!

Interested in becoming an angel or instructor? Join us this upcoming Tuesday (2/13) on the Yakitutu lawn from 6-8 pm for an Angel/Instructor Workshop!!

We will be there until 9 pm, but you do not have to stay that long if you don’t have the time. Also, you do not have to be a student or member to attend. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to angel and/or receive feedback on a demo teach!

If you are interested in becoming an instructor, please come prepared to demo 16 counts of a beginner/low improver dance of your choice. Even if you do not know for sure if you would like to be an instructor, we highly encourage you to give it a try!

Please fill out the form in our Linktree in the bio to sign up if you plan on coming. We highly encourage our current instructors to come as well. If you would like to come but cannot make it, please text our head instructor Brooke at her number (626)-840-3915 and stay tuned for another workshop in March!
