MYSTERIOUS X CONFERENCE
EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN
Hi Friends,
Every conference I ever attended ended the same way. The lights came up, everyone shook hands in the lobby, and we all went home having *heard* about the mystery.
I built Mysterious X because I wanted the other thing. I wanted to go experience it.
September 24 to 27, Kanab, Utah. Four days. Here is what actually happens.
**In the theater.** Scott Wolter from *America Unearthed*, speaking Friday and Saturday. Daryl Marston from *Ghost Hunters*. Josh and Ron Feldman from *Blind Frog Ranch*. Wayne May. Bertram Tsavadawa, Hopi messenger and teacher. Myself Dan Dillman, Terry Carter, Robert Kryder, Lon Child, Levi Harris, Janet Wolter, Ryan Burns, Tom Bennett and Dustin Eskelsen. Plus the premiere of *Accidental Truth Next: Beyond UFO Disclosure*, with director Ron James in the room to answer for it.
That alone would be a good weekend. It is not why I am writing you.
**Thursday night** we open at the Once Upon A Time Museum. Dinner, then a live paranormal investigation among Egyptian mummies, one of Lincoln's stovepipe hats, documents signed by Washington and Jefferson, and the table where Morgan Earp fell.
**Friday and Saturday nights** we leave town for Rising Moon Ranch. Catered dinner, a campfire, and CE-5 contact work under some of the darkest skies left in the lower 48. If you have never seen a genuinely dark sky, that by itself is worth the drive.
**And then there is Sunday.**
Three generations of my family have searched Three Lakes Canyon for Montezuma's treasure. My grandfather said the artifact was in the water. It was filmed once, on *Lost Gold of the Aztecs*, and never recovered.
This year we go back for it, with equipment.
We run ground-penetrating radar at Dillman Cave, where we uncovered an ancient wall and a stone box, to find out what that wall is hiding and how far back it goes. We put an underwater submersible drone into the skull cave pond. Then a catered dinner, a fire circle, a sky watch that runs to 11:30, and you sleep out there in the canyon.
I cannot promise you we find it. Nobody honest could. What I can promise is that you will be standing there when we look.
**Why I am writing California specifically.** Kanab is closer than you think. Fly into Las Vegas and it is about three and a half hours of red rock. Fly into St. George and it is roughly ninety minutes.
One thing worth knowing before you pick a pass. They are not all the same. The evening experiences come with Insider and above. Thursday night at the museum is VIP and above. Sunday at Three Lakes Canyon is Ultimate Weekend and Founders Circle only.
