I start my figure drawings on a uniform large 22” X 30” sheet of very heavy (250 gsm) heavily sized 2-ply paper made in the USA, 100% sulphite, neutral ph., Acid free, chlorine free, with an extremely durable Vellum surface. Though the paper made by Legion Corporation under the Brand of Rising. I use Derwent Drawing Pencils (made in England) in the Venetian Red tone (6300) which are a smooth cream

y almost waxy consistency and have a Lightfast value of #8, the highest lightfastness available. I use many tools other than the pencils to achieve the drawings, mostly all manner of erasers including electric erasers which can pull up all but a slight ghosted mark from a darkly drawn contour because the durable paper. Drawings are inserted and sealed into Krystal Seal envelopes made of 2 mil polypropylene then rolled into a United States Postal Service Priority Mail triangular tube then shipped for free in the United States.
