🧵🧶 Want to learn how to create your own artistic rug? Join exhibiting artist {Cyn}thia Yadira Gonzalez in this workshop as they walk you through their process 👀

Cynthia Yadira Gonzalez (they/them) is a Mexican-American artist who has been painting since 2003 and sculpting since 2009. Their work is vibrant in color and incorporates found objects and non-traditional mediums, such as felt and caulking, to create eccentric and unusual objects. Gonzalez received the International Sculpture Center’s 2022 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award, the Belle Foundation grant in 2023, and the Murphy Cadogan Award in 2022. Raised in San Jose, Gonzalez earned a BFA in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University in 2020 and an MFA from San Jose State University in May 2024.
