What an incredible weekend at Opera San José! 🎶

We were thrilled to launch our 2026-2027 Salon Series with an intimate recital by our Artist-in-Residence, soprano Maria Brea, alongside pianist Dror Baitel. Performing works from their album Alba | Beyond Borders, Maria and Dror brought our audience right up close to the magic of live music-making.

Their hour-long performance showcased a powerful artistic partnership and a deep friendship spanning years, bridging cultural, geographic, and emotional frontiers through song.

Welcoming back Micah Perry for our 2026–2027 Season! 🎭🎶

With a bright smile and an effervescent voice, tenor Micah Perry returns to Opera San José as part of our 2026–2027 Artist-in-Residence cohort!

OSJ audiences will remember Micah’s standout turn as Beppe in our recent production of Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci—from commanding the stage on stilts to delivering effortless comedic charm, he was a crowd favorite from start to finish.

This season, Micah takes on an exciting slate of roles:

* Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof
* Robert Wilson in Doctor Atomic
* Covering Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni
