Introducing the penultimate member of our 2026–2027 Artist-in-Residence cohort: 3-time Grammy Award-winning tenor David Morgans! 🎭✨

Renowned for his riveting performances and vibrant tenor tone, David has graced top stages across the country—including the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Detroit Opera, and Heartbeat Opera. Film fans might also recognize him as Julio in the feature film She Came to Me, starring alongside Anne Hathaway, Peter Dinklage, and Marisa Tomei!

🎭 AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Opera San José 2027–2028 Season

Opera San José is seeking Artists in Residence and Guest Artists for all voice types for our 2027–2028 season!

Whether you’re seeking a multi-production residency—complete with a regular salary, housing, travel support, and individual coaching—or single-production guest opportunities, we invite singers to apply for lead, featured, and supporting roles.

Mark your calendars! Opera San José and the City of San José invite you and your family to Tunnel of Terror, a whimsical, music-filled Halloween celebration at San José City Hall Plaza.

Designed as a fun, theatrical evening rather than a scary haunt, this family-friendly event features something for everyone:

✨ Sonic Runway: Watch the iconic light-and-sound tunnel illuminate at sunset!

🚗 Trunk-or-Treat: A lowrider display and candy stations hosted by the United Lowrider Council of San José.

🏆 Costume Contests: Win $100 + a Boo Basket (Youth at 6:45 PM) or $500 + a Boo Basket (Adults at 7:45 PM)!
