Charles Marsala and Sheri Sobrato win the 2026 San Jose Grape Stomp

We the Italians Ambassador Charles Marsala and Sheri Sobrato won the San Jose Italian Festa 2026 Grape Stomp competition. Competing as the "Alligator Marsala" team they won three rounds against stiff competition to take home the trophy. Marsala was the Stomper with Sobrato being the Mucker who is responsible for the juice production.

The Wine Tasting Garden was one of the most popular gathering places at this year's Italian Family Festa—and it's easy to see why.

Nestled beneath the shade trees surrounding the historic Gordon House, festival guests relaxed with friends, enjoyed outstanding live music, and sampled exceptional wines from some of Santa Clara Valley's finest Italian-heritage wineries.

Roll the tape! 🍇 Charles Marsala captured Saturday's Heat 2 of the Celebrity Grape Stomp, going up against Marlo Cortese, president of the Sicilian Sisterhood, and Saratoga Mayor Chuck Page. Spoiler: Charles came back Sunday and took the whole championship. 💚🤍❤️
