Please join us in celebrating the spring season at our Cherry Blossom Festival.

The event will feature traditional Japanese music performances on the koto and shamisen. Complimentary green tea, snacks, and sweets will be served to all guests and visitors. Admission is free.

Date & Time: Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

Japanese Dance Class starting this week (Wed 4:30 PM & 5:15 PM)

This Wednesday, new Japanese dance classes will begin at JACC. A class for young children will start at 4:30 PM, and a class for older children and adults will begin at 5:15 PM. Each class costs $20. Kimono (Japanese dress) is not required for beginners. Anyone can join at any time.

Admissions to Saturday's traditional Japanese music and dance performances are FREE. Anyone can walk in and enjoy the show.

During festival hours (11:00am - 4:00pm on both days), enjoy Shaved Ice and traditional games including, Ring Toss, Goldfish & Super-ball Scooping, and Yo-Yo Balloon Fishing. These activities are staffed primarily by local high school volunteers.

Tickets for games are $3 each (cash only). Each ticket can be used for:
- 1 Shaved Ice
- 3 Ring Toss tries
- 2 Goldfish scoop tries
- 2 Balloon Fishing tries

You can also purchase four (4) tickets for a discounted price of $10. All proceeds will help cover event costs, with any excess benefiting JACC.

Any person dressed in kimono or yukata will receive one (1) complimentary ticket.

JACC is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to sharing traditional Japanese culture. We welcome individuals of all cultural backgrounds and nationalities to participate in our activities and experience Japanese culture without having to travel across the ocean. We invite both new and returning students to join our team!

小学校の算数から中学の数学への移行は実はとっても大切です。苦手意識をもたず、楽しみながら数学の基礎知識を身につけます。

2学期で1年分を楽しみながら進めていくプログラムになっています。

2024 Summer 8-week Japanese Language Course for Complete Beginners in San Jose, California

Date & Time: Monday 6:15pm
Period: From June 10th to July 29th
Place: Japanese Art & Cultural Center (4334 Moorpark Ave, San Jose, CA 95129)

Fees: $40 drop-in or $260 for all classes

This 8-week course is designed as an introductory language learning experience for anyone interested in Japanese.

No prior knowledge is required. All textbooks and workbooks are provided. Just bring a pen. Classes are very casual, flexible, and practical. Attend any or all classes. No advance appointment, sign-up, or registration is necessary. All proceeds will benefit the Japanese Art & Cultural Center.
