Hi all,

We hope everyone is having a spook-tacular week so far! As we wanted you to reveal our spooky project we have been working on this semester!

The CADRE Student Organization is proud to present: Café Afterlife! This new media collaborative public artwork will be displayed at the Hammer Theater Cafe on Friday, November 1st, from 7:30pm - 10:30pm apart of the SJ Downtown First Friday. This installation is a mix of spectral live-action recording and presented through digital media projection to conjure of the souls of the dead for one night only!

Hey CADRE Members,

We proudly present our community submitted CADRE T-Shirt Designs for the club! Here are the final Designs!

To cast your vote for a Design, please “Like” the photo of the individual design rather than the whole post to account for one vote! As a reminder, votes will be tallied and combine across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. The Winning design will be announced on Thursday, Oct 10th! So, make sure to cast your vote this week!

The winning design will be printed on our new club t-shirts! Runner ups will receive a prize from our CADRE club cabinet!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all for coming to the CADRE Alumni Artist Talk last week! As we move forward into October, we will be shifting gears to prepare for the 3rd annual CADRE Halloween Showcase! We are very lucky this semester as we will be presenting our work in collaboration with the the Hammer Theater in downtown! This will be a spooktacular event and an opportunity to show our skills to the San Jose Downtown area! We will be brainstorming the event this Thursday, October 3rd at 6:30pm in Art 237, we hope to see you there!

CADRE T-Shirt Design Contest! - Designs Due October 4th at Midnight

We have an open call for CADRE members to submit a new design for our club T-shirts! Rules for the T-shirt contest can be found here -->> https://tinyurl.com/CADRETshirt2019.

Make sure you are signed up to our CADRE SO Newsletter as that is a requirement to submit a T-shirt design. Designs will be due this Friday at midnight and will be submitted to our email, [email protected].

CADRE ALUMNI ARTIST TALK: Where are they now?

The CADRE Alumni Artist Talk will take place on this Thursday, September 26th at 6:30pm in the Art building, room 237. We are proud to host three amazing artists from the CADRE club's past that will be sharing their stories and current projects! Their scope of work spans from design, software engineering, video game design and development!

This will be a great opportunity for students in and outside of the digital media art program to attend and see what is in store after the club!

Please join us for this one time event! Food, beverages, and good times will be shared! Come by and check it us out.

Interested in learning 3D modeling, yet don't know where to start? Well you are in luck!

The SJSU Siggraph Club is a holding an Autodesk Maya workshop for students on Tuesday, October 1st in the Art Building, room 241 at 6:00pm! This workshop is aimed at beginners in Maya or those who have never touched the software before. This is the first of a series of workshops the Siggraph club are holding on topics in Maya.

As October approaches, the club soon will be brainstorming ideas and concepts for this year's CADRE Student Organization Halloween Showcase! This workshop would be a great opportunity to learn about 3D modeling first-hand and apply to to future projects of your own or possibly future club projects!

Hey There!

We hope everyone is having a great start to the Fall 2019 semester! As the end of September approaches, we would like to announce a reminder for our upcoming event this month called, the CADRE Alumni Artist Talk!

The CADRE Alumni Artist Talk will take place on Thursday, September 26th at 6:30pm in the Art building, room 237.

The event will be a great platform for past CADRE club alumni members to share their experiences and showcase their projects years after the club! This will be a great opportunity for students in and outside of the digital media art program to attend! More information and official announcement will be coming soon!

We are pleased to announce the first official club meeting of the CADRE Student Organization! The Club meeting will be this Thursday, September 12th at 6:30pm in Art Building Room 237. We will be going over the in-depth plans for the semester and preparing for our upcoming events such as Alumni Artist Talk, T-Shirt Contest, Halloween Showcase and more! The club is to everyone!
