Conveniently located in the heart of Japantown, San Jose, The Get Down is a place to get up, a place to get loose, a place to get funky, and most importantly, a place to get down! At The Get Down, we focus on hip hop and Latin street styles, including boogaloo, hip hop, house, locking, breaking, salsa and bachata, to name a few. Our classes range from preschoolers all the way up to adults. Here at

The Get Down, our aim is to provide a home for the young and the old, the seasoned and inexperienced dancer alike where dancers can build and grow their artistic expression.

A few moments from this past Sunday - we’re really proud of all of our dancers representing The Get Down with so much care and commitment across multiple pieces and groups!

Nikkei Matsuri 2026 ❤️

We just wanted to take a moment to say how proud we are of all of our dancers from this past Sunday. Everyone showed up prepared, stayed focused, and performed with so much energy and commitment. Each group brought something different to the stage, and it all came together perfectly.Thank you for putting in the work, supporting each other, and representing The Get Down the way you did.

We’re excited to kick off another season of growth, training, and community at the studio!
☀️ Summer Session: 8 weeks
📅 June 8 – August 7
Whether you’re just starting out or continuing your training journey—this summer is all about leveling up.
💥 Youth Programs (Ages 5+)
Classes are grouped by age & level:
(5–8, 7–9, 9–13, 10–17)
💥 Adult Programs (All Levels Welcome)
Train, grow, and challenge yourself throughout the week.
Plus—students ages 9+ may also join select adult classes (level + instructor approval).
📌 Class Limits:
Youth: up to 2 classes/week
Adults: up to 5 classes/week
💲 Tuition:
$208 — 1 class/week (8 weeks)
+$35 annual registration fee (new students only)
