Starhouse is seeking a few more actors to fill out our cast of Giselle!

Giselle is an original musical adaptation of Adolphe Adam’s 1841 romantic ballet of the same name, loosely reconfiguring the plot of the original ballet into a kaleidoscopic ghost story told through
Appalachian folksong, written and composed by Cassian Grove and Rory John. Five archetypal storytellers weave together history, myth, and song to bring the story to life in an immersive show about
vengeance, dancing, and death.

Rehearsals have begun and are Tues-Fri, 6:30-9:30pm in San Jose. Not all actors are called to every rehearsal! The show performs August 29 and 30.

If you're interested in participating but not prepared to audition, please reach out to us at [email protected] to discuss with us.

Full information and audition instructions here: https://starhouseatc.com/auditions

ROLES:
(Ages are approximate)

The Carpenter — 40+
An older man, symbolizing wisdom, comforts of home, and creation. One short solo in an Appalachian folk style, baritone to
tenor

The Miller — 18-40
A younger man, symbolizing patriarchal leadership and bounty of harvest. One short solo in an Appalachian folk style, baritone to
tenor

The Preacher — 18+
